Skidmore’s North Woods

I took a hike in Skidmore’s North Woods in Saratoga Springs and enjoyed some beautiful nature and surprising art! If you walk the perimeter of the woods I would guess you get about 2 miles including some peaceful ups and downs. Not too many people on the trails, but I saw wildflowers, caterpillars, a turtle, and heard many birds about.

I enjoyed a view of the quiet pond.

IMG_0763 I found a lone bleached snail shell sitting on a rock.

At the bottom of an old well I saw an eye watching (Sauron?).

And I found a door leading to nowhere?
